Medical AV System
Fully Integrated Open Platform System

The entire system is connected over the hospitals existing communications network using standard IP communications protocols.
This open platform nature of the system means any exisiting devices can easily be added at a later date - the flexibility given by the software involved is massive. It is also not limited to a single manufacturer-virtually any hardware from exisiting manufacturers can be used. All communications are 2 way with audio and video feeds being able to travel to and from the operating theatre.
Integrated Medical Video is not limited to the operating theatre. It has been applied in settings as diverse as an ITU, where nurses position a camera above each patient bed. The video feeds are then transmitted with any monitoring data- allowing a single nurse to watch over multiple patients for a short space of time.
Medical-grade Hardware from SONY
Brandon Medical are officially SONY specialist Dealers for their Healthcare Technology range and have integrated this technology throughout the Video System. SONY Monitors, Cameras, Videoprinters and Teleconferencing technology are all available.
Advanced Software
the software ysed by the Integrated Medical Video System gives an unparalleled level of control over both live video feeds and archived data.
Automatic Archiving
Surgeons no longer have to decide in advance whether a procedure is "interesting" enough to be filmed as every operation is automatically recorded on both the surgical and dome camera, with all this data transmitted over the network and stored in a safe location on a virtual tape loop.
